Who knows of any African American "firsts" in our history?

Dorie Miller was the first African American Man to win a Navy Cross. He shot down 3 Japanese planes with no formal training.

William Defluerville was Abraham Lincoln's personal barber in his hometown of Sprinfield, Illinois before Lincoln went to the White House.

Don Barksdale was the first African American All-American and went top school at UCLA.

George "Sweetwater " Clifton was the first Black to play in the NBA.

Those are a few I could think of. Anybody know anymore?
