, when I was in the Army, to an african american man who turned out to be NOT THE ONE. I was only married for 5 yrs.,and raised my girls by myself. I just found out in June that my last relationship(from 98-02) was the reason why I am HIV+. I had no idea for the last 8 yrs that he was positive. So much for being celibate for all those years to then have my life changed forever. My focus was & has been on raising my daughters, working,&going to college. I live in a very small town where prejudice runs rampant, there fore I was not into dating anyone who couldn't accept my daughters being mixed. I pretty much stay to myself and don't socialize with people in this town. I do have a few people I talk to, but not anybody I can call a friend. My family is enough to keep me in a loving frame of mind. I would love to relocate to a warmer state, and consider it a necessary priority in the next year.
