It took me a long time to see through stereotypical images and allusions regarding black people but, when I did, I wholey embraced it. I'm a serious student of black history, particularly American black history, and I consider that particular a proud and admirable grouping considering what their beginnings were and how so many have managed to climb upwards despite the hurdles and barriers.
